Here is the lineup for the 2021 New Glarus Blues, Brews & Food Truck Festival on Saturday, June 26th! They have a great set of bands for blues fans to enjoy and once again the event is free. After missing last year, they are excited to have the blues back in the Village!
Opening the day is Raine Stern, the young, local musical talent who was just featured on NBC-TV’s The Voice! She is a fantastic singer, guitarist, and band leader. They are proud to feature her as our opening act for 2021. Her music is a blend of rock, blues and other influences and her first album is in the works and about to hit the streets. They are excited to have this talented young artist play for our event!
At 2 PM it will be time for the great Chicago harp player Russ Green to take the stage. As both a successful musician and producer, Russ will give the crowd a great performance that will showcase his musical influences like Sugar Blue, Jimi Hendrix and many of the legendary Chicago blues masters. This will be a fantastic set you certainly should not miss!
Next up will be Omar Coleman at 4 PM. Omar mixes soul, jazz, and blues in his music and is a talented singer and musician whose music is featured on Delmark Records. Whether it is on his own albums or as a backing harp player in high demand on many other CDs, Coleman has produced a lot of fantastic music. He is a fixture on the festival circuit and has graced many a stage impressing crowds across the country and overseas. They can’t wait to hear and see Omar as he plays in New Glarus for the first time ever!
Closing out the day is Reverend Raven and the Chain Smoking Altar Boys featuring Westside Andy Linderman. These guys take the stage at 6 PM and it will be a great finish to a superb day of music at the fest. The Rev and Andy have a huge following here in their home state and across the nation. The Rev’s soulful vocals and guitar and Andy’s poignant harp and vocals are always a hit with music fans. They and their band always deliver a fine and memorable performance that makes the listener want more and more!
In between acts and after the fest, the music continues across the street at the Fest Haus. There will be entertainment between acts throughout the day, and then at 8 PM Russ Green and his band will appear on stage for another performance. There is no cover and the fun will continue as Russ and the band play; who knows who else may show up to sit in? You’ll have to find out by coming out that night!
They’ve added a pre-fest event at Toffler’s on Friday evening. Toffler’s is just up the street from the park right in New Glarus and The Jimmys will be there to kick things off for music lovers who are in town for Friday. Band leader Jimmy Voegeli on organ/keys and vocals, Perry Weber on lead guitar and vocals, the Young Horns and the rest of the band always delight crowds and it will be a hot night at Toffler’s with The Jimmys giving it their all.
The festival features great local beers from the New Glarus Brewing Company and an outstanding assortment of food from a large variety of food trucks and vendors who will be on site for the event.
They hope to see you at the third annual Blues, Brews and Food Truck Festival on Saturday, June 26th at the Village Park in New Glarus, WI!
